This romantic, garden-inspired, waterfront wedding at Gasparilla Inn & Club was one of our favorites of the year (okay, we admit that we're only a few weeks in, but that doesn't make the statement any less true)! Jen and Laurence are a wonderful couple. They have one of those seemingly effortless qualities about them. They just fit. Their wedding was an authentic representation of their elegance and ease as individuals & a couple.
I loved that they wanted to take care of all the details in one place. Which means I had the opportunity to plan, design and style the wedding day. Although I offer these services separately, it's a perfect scenario for me to be able to do it all! Nothing makes for a cohesive, consistent wedding more than combining the planning and design into one!
This wedding was all about the greenery! Which meant it had a fresh, spring-inspired feel despite being a Winter wedding (which, let's be honest, in Florida doesn't really mean the same thing as most other places).
The ceremony arch was created with smilax- which is my favorite next to eucalyptus- and subtly accents with white florals.
With accents of white (and the softest of blush) florals in the form of ranunculus, roses and hydrangea.
The French farm chairs are both luxurious and casual- they were the perfect pairing for the waterfront wedding. We used smilax garland to enhance the outdoor ceremony's decor and then pulled it into the reception via their centerpieces.
Speaking of centerpieces, the vessels were a gorgeous, modern open rectangular shape in wedding white, mixed with a low sight-line freeform arrangement in a short white compote style vase. The combination was stunning! The greenery incuded more smilax, as well as lemon leaf, spirea, eucalyptus, and queen ann’s lace.
