Historic Estate Wedding Inspiration | Spanish Moss and Fog | Bay Preserve, Florida

The fog rolls in,  the dew settles ever so delicately on the lush green grass, the Spanish moss floats weightlessly in the air. You deeply breathe in the rich earth and you find yourself whisked into a different time. When the world was quiet. When romance ruled. Where nothing mattered except the time you spend hand in hand with your love. Where troubles don't exist and deep southern roots of this private, historic estate speak to the generations of memories ahead.

This feeling was what we carried with us during our design on this gorgeous Historic Estate Wedding inspiration shoot. I'm a hopeless romantic that adores timeless, elegance details. In fluffy florals with greenery galore.  That the wedding day should be nothing short of spectacular. And that you should settle into the moments with all the comforts of home, but with the wonder and awe that only love can inspire.

I hope you love all the details in this shoot as much as I do!

Design details:

The dress! Our model wore a flowy, a-line, bohemian style gown with fitted bodice and lace cap sleeves. She was a barefoot bride because the freedom from shoes shouldn't be reserved exclusively for the beach! How fun is having your feet in the grass during Summer picnics and Spring strolls?

The groom's plaid suit was everything! The classic gray with stripe detail was modern, yet very traditionally southern.

The bouquet was super full and flowy- with lots of greenery accented with garden roses and ranunculus. The artichoke (a member of the thistle family and a symbol of hope) in the center was my favorite unexpected element.

The stoneware plates had gorgeous lace detail, which was a nod to vintage elegance. However, the setting looked quite modern paired with gold flatware

Invitations were hand lettered and created from the most beautiful rough torn-edge cardstock.
